The Stages of the Planning Process

To accomplish our task, the Board is following a generalised planning cycle (see below) and strengthened the process by imbedding the concepts of participation and consultation in each step or stage of the cycle. The result is an adaptive approach where our activities at each stage are formulated based on our previous experiences and from information learned in the stage itself. Such a participatory action approach will produce a land use plan that meets the needs of all stakeholders.
